I just want to thank Steve and Tim for a great class this semester. I know I’ve said in the past that I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this class, but it turned out to be a really cool class. I meet alot cool people and learned alot of new, interesting things. I want to wish Steve and Tim the best and the rest of the class too. Ill miss Thursday nights with all of you. GOOD LUCK IN EVERYONE’S FUTURE!!!!

and CONGRADULATIONS to everyone who is graduating this semester…..GO US!!!!!

So today is my last class. Im very sad today about this. I mean I’m not going to miss driving 30 min back and forth to school and not miss staying at school till 9, but I am going to miss my classes and the friends I’ve made through the classes. I honestly never thought this day would come where I’d walk into my last class and leave saying goodbye. I’m very excited to be graduating, but I’m sad to be leaving. Tunxis has been an awesome adventure for me. I’ve learned so much with my time here. I just hope when I leave class tonite I won’t cry my eyes out…LOL….

But, now that I’m at the end I have graduation to look forward to and celebrating my time here. And lemme tell you I’m DEFINETELY going to celebrate my time here!!!!!

Well again I will miss everything and everyone here at Tunxis Thank You for this experience.

yes the writers strike has been over for alittle while now, but it has taken forever for all the new episodes of all the new shows everyone loves to come back. But THEIR BACK!!!!!! Thank goodness…..I have missed so many of my shows and im so happy that they are back and NEW!!!! Don’t think im a couch potato because im not LOL but there are like 4 shows i absolutely love to watch and I was going stir crazy with them being old for sooooo long….I didnt really follow the writers strike very much, but I think they dragged it out alittle too long. Well im hoping that they put their thinking caps together and made alot of new episodes to last till summer when they go repeats again. See i don’t mind when shows are repeats in the summer because Im always so busy, but when its cold out and nothing to do but stay inside I like to enjoy my shows…..Anyway their all back and all new so HOORAY!!!!!

Wow the semester is over in like 2 weeks!!! Where did the time go? It feels like yesterday that we walked in the class for the first one. Im kinda glad the semester is coming to an end, but now its crunch time!!! I have so many projects and papers due before the end that I just want to scream. I wish there was alittle extra time to do this stuff, but there isnt so im just going to go crazy and stress till the end. Im hoping this is my last semester, but im not sure yet and won’t know till classes are done. So is neone else feeling the stress and craziness trying to finish all the semester work? I think new media is the only class im not stressing about. I mean i still have to finish my hypertext and put some finishing touches on my inform7 but I know ill have it all done by the due date. O and I want to add that last class I had a lot of fun. We had to make a new version of chess and I know nothing abou the game, but I learned alittle in class. I enjoyed working with the guys in my group and makin the game up!!! well thats it for now!!!

I am getting close to finishing my interactive fiction story. Right now I am getting alittle frustrated with the project because when I try to enter certain descriptions into the story it tells me I can’t and that angers me. Also, I want to enter more rooms with objects, but I don’t want to make the story to long and confusing. I am still missing my alternate ending for my story, I am stuck between two of them. I think the eastiest part was putting the layout together, I just thought of a couple different places I knew and that putting them together would make a cool layout. Like I said before I do help understanding why I can not add certain descriptions into the story, right now I have a couple things that are blank that I want to add decriptions to. I am so hoping that by the deadline I have everything put together with the right descriptions, in the right places and it all makes sense.

So I decided to do my Interactive fiction based on a mystery. I have always enjoyed reading and watching myteries, so I figured why not write my own mystery story. I didn’t really decide to do a mystery until I had my rooms laid out. Once I had the layout I thought it would be the best route to go with what I was working with. I only have one ending right now; which is a slight problem, but by the time this is due I will have 2. I have never written an Interactive fiction before so this is a little difficult for me, but its semi cool. I just want to say thank goodness for John’s handouts or I would be beyond lost with writing this fiction. Im not making to many rooms or to many objects brcause I don’t want people to get bored while playing. Well I hope once this is done and I hand it in that people like it!!!!!

A couple weeks ago we started a hypertext in class. It started out with just one sentence in class and has bloomed into a fun story. My hypertext started in the store with five people buying different things. Once they had bought there items they all left and went to a “secret” location, for a “secret” event. Everyone brought something different to contribute to this “secret” event. My people in my hypertext are all very different and for that reason bring more excitement and diversity to the hypertext. Without giving any specific details away I’ll tell you that my hypertext goes from nice and quiet to wild  but, it will be good. I decided to go with these ideas because they are things I like to do a lot and when we were giving the first line and told to go with it the first idea that popped into my head I thought would be fun to roll with. Like I said in my first blog about my hypertext I did not think this was going to be a very fun activity but, now writing down my ideas and trying to make this exciting story has turned out to be very thrilling. I like thinking up different, crazy, funny, weird things and putting a story together. I have decided to use hypertextopia to create the final version of my hypertext. I have not stared putting together on the site yet because, I want to get the story together before I start mapping it out on the site.  I also have more to add to the story itself  before being finished. So when my hypertext is done and everyone can see the final product I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I enjoyed putting it together. Finally, I would like to add when faced with a problem I turn to my friends and family to help me. They are very loving, caring, and supportive and can usually help me with my problems.

So I chose do my mapspace on my mother-in-laws house. I did the second floor because it seems to have the best rooms. When you first walk up to her front door and go in the house you are in open foyer.  Straight in front of you is the stairs that leads upstairs to the bedrooms. To your right is a set of double doors that when open, bring you to her “formal” sitting room, and to ur left is an open archway to the dining room. If you werew to go straight past the staris you would see a door leading you to the downstairs where right now is a big open room; past the door is the kitchen. The kitchen is ver nice and big, it has a huge picture window right in fromt of you looking out over the back yard. Turning yourself right in the kitchen is the living room/t.v. room they are pretty much connected with a small wall between them. You can go out the back slders from the living room which will bring you to the back yard. Now back in the house and you walk back into the kitchen where the picture window would be to your right, you walk through the kitchen and see a small bathroom to your right. Lastly, is the door to the garage and once out there you are back outside. The house is very nice and has many rooms to it. Hope you enjoyed a quick tour of it.

Last week in class we learned about hypertext. When we first started the lesson I thought I was going to get very confused and not be able to do it, but I was wrong!!! Once we started our own hypertext and branched out with our ideas I realized it was not bad at all…..I actually enjoy it very much!! Being able to take one phrase and create so many things with it is cool!!! I have  alot of work to do on my hypertext before it is done and things to make it look good but I think it will be fun and in the end sound really good and look good too!!!!
